About The Position

The Director, Fulfillment & Inventory Planning, is responsible for leadership of logistics, global inventory management, clinical, S&OP for Tandem Diabetes Care. This includes finished goods and outside services. Will also develop and implement focused supply chain strategies which support business growth and profitability objectives, including the implementation of streamlined planning models, forecast modeling in support of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • Knowledge of GHTF – global harmonization standards for supply chain.
  • 15+ years inventory and logistics management in medical device or diagnostic production environment.
  • Minimum 5 years in a management role.
  • Proficient with ERP systems for planning, purchasing and inventory management controls for both raw materials and finished goods.
  • Must have experience with IT Systems and tools (MS Office applications – including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Dynamics/365 ERP is a plus.
  • Experience in planning, purchasing, new product introduction and global inventory management in a high volume, medical device, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of global supply chain including FDA and ISO laws and regulations applicable to the medical device industry.
  • Well organized communicator with strong interpersonal skills (thought, written and verbal communication skills) to audiences of all organizational levels.
  • Skilled at effectively leading a cooperative team effort and organizing resources to achieve team goals.
  • Able to make and prioritize process and resource decisions based on overall team needs.

Responsibilities

  • Leads monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process including multiple input meetings and ERP forecast loading.
  • Participates in New Product Introduction (NPI) project meetings and communicates requirements and updates.
  • Responsible for company’s Enterprise requirements planning (ERP) system configuration, including item master configuration management and maintenance.
  • Actively participates in long-term contract negotiations and ongoing management for external finished goods and third-party logistics providers.
  • Oversees finished goods inventory management supporting all global distribution centers to ensure no back orders while achieving business objectives.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement activities to maximize efficiencies, reduce costs, and satisfy quality objectives.
  • Represents operations on new product launch teams to ensure operations requirements are considered and internal teams are supporting launch targets.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains computerized purchasing system database, investigates inventory discrepancies and resolves delivery/receiving problems.
  • Ensure ERP Planning parameters are set to provide accurate ordering signals.
