About The Position

As the Director, FP&A, you will report to the VP, Finance and serve as a primary architect of our financial strategy. You will move beyond the what of the numbers to the why, leading the charge on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. You’ll lean into your strategic and consultative approach to drive impact as a key business partner to our executive leadership, uncovering opportunities and teasing out solutions that focus on profitable growth and operational efficiency. In partnership with your Accounting and Operations peers, you’ll lead the effort to increase Rue Gilt Groupe’s ability to anticipate business fluctuations and drive informed, data driven decision making.

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple high-priority initiatives and deadlines.
  • Collaborative and relationship-oriented, with the ability to build trust and strong partnerships across Finance and cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or Accounting required; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Progressive experience in FP&A or Corporate Finance, including experience managing teams; a mix of high growth retail, e-commerce, or consumer market experience is highly preferred.
  • Expert level financial modeling skills and a strong understanding of how GAAP accounting flows into financial statements (P&Ls, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow).
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

  • A mix of high growth retail, e-commerce, or consumer market experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes, providing deep dive analysis into Revenue, COGS/Margin, and Operating Expenses to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to departmental heads, translating complex financial data into actionable insights that drive ROI and efficiency across the organization.
  • Oversee the delivery of high quality monthly and quarterly management reporting packages, highlighting variances, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Distill complex financial analysis into concise, compelling narratives and presentations for executive leadership and other senior stakeholders.
  • Lead, develop and empower a high performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of creative problem solving, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate new business initiatives, capital allocation strategies, and market expansion opportunities.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities, applying strong business judgment and bringing forward clear, data-driven recommendations to influence business decisions.
