•$178,075 - $242,500

About The Position

This role is for a Director, FP&A Systems and Transformation at Coursera, which has recently merged with Udemy. The combined company aims to be the world's most powerful platform for turning learning into progress, serving over 300 million learners and 12,000+ enterprise customers. The position focuses on leading the strategic roadmap and digital transformation of the FP&A function across various divisions within a complex tech organization. The role requires bridging technical automation with business strategy, managing a dual-system landscape (IBM Planning Analytics and Workday Adaptive Planning) to select a single go-forward enterprise architecture, and leading/upskilling a team of two direct reports. A key objective is to drive a cultural shift towards automation within the FP&A team, enabling them to focus on strategic analysis rather than manual tasks.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience across FP&A, Finance Transformation, or Financial Systems, ideally within a high-growth, multi-segment technology company.
  • Hands-on architectural and administrative knowledge of both Workday Adaptive Planning and IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), or comparable enterprise planning platforms.
  • Proven success leading end-to-end platform consolidations, vendor bake-offs, and full-lifecycle system implementations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and upskill technical team members through organizational change and software transitions.
  • Working knowledge of modern data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), SQL, data warehousing, or automation tools, with the ability to explain technical concepts to business leaders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field (MBA/CPA preferred), paired with a deep understanding of tech P&L drivers and subscription metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic roadmap and digital transformation of the FP&A function across a complex tech organization encompassing Consumer, Enterprise, Content, Marketing, and Product divisions.
  • Bridge technical automation and business strategy, ensuring system builds reflect unique segment drivers (e.g., Enterprise SaaS metrics, B2C unit economics, Content amortization schedules).
  • Evaluate, test, and select the single go-forward enterprise architecture from a dual-system landscape (IBM Planning Analytics and Workday Adaptive Planning).
  • Lead, mentor, and cross-train an internal team of two direct reports (Systems Administrator and Analytics Specialist), keeping morale high and expanding their skill sets during platform changes.
  • Drive a cultural shift away from manual spreadsheet assembly, empowering the broader FP&A team to focus on proactive, high-value strategic analysis.
  • Leverage automated reporting and financial data to surface actionable insights that drive long-term corporate strategy, optimize capital allocation, and maximize ROI across Content, Product, and Marketing investments.
  • Manage day-to-day workflows for two direct reports, balancing immediate reporting and analytics demands with major project milestones for the system transition.
  • Partner directly with decentralized FP&A teams across all business segments to audit their unique workflows and build tailored, automated financial modeling solutions.
  • Direct external implementation consultants and manage vendor relationships to execute the definitive "rip and replace" system migration on time, within budget, and with zero disruption to close cycles.
  • Automate data pipelines and standard reporting decks to drastically reduce monthly close and forecast cycle times.
  • Establish strict system access controls, data hierarchy standards, and cross-functional user training programs to drive company-wide platform adoption.
