About The Position

As the Director of Engineering, FDE and Customer Outcomes, you will lead multiple cross-functional engineering teams dedicated to tier-one healthcare customers. You will be accountable for technical delivery, enterprise configuration, and the operational success of an AI-driven platform within complex healthcare ecosystems. Teams operate with high autonomy and own customer delivery plans, data quality standards, and clinical and business outcomes. You will mentor engineering managers and technical leads across a global footprint. The organization builds data ingestion pipelines, configures enterprise software, and deploys compliant AI agents into live healthcare environments. The role also establishes delivery and quality standards, aligns engineering execution with customer outcomes, and oversees solution architecture and platform integration across healthcare environments.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, technical consulting, or enterprise systems architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience in US Healthcare, HealthTech, or Digital Health, working directly with clinical data ecosystems.
  • 5+ years managing a manager-of-managers organization or multiple concurrent customer-facing technical delivery teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience building, optimizing, and deploying enterprise-grade AI agents.
  • Proficiency designing and managing batch and real-time big data processing systems, pipeline orchestration, Medallion Architecture, and end-to-end ETL/ELT pipeline engineering.
  • Operational knowledge of healthcare standards including HL7, FHIR, C-CDA, and X12/EDI.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, mentor, and scale multiple customer-facing engineering teams across regions, and optimize resource allocation across health systems, payers, and life sciences clients.
  • Empower teams to own, track, and execute implementation delivery plans from discovery through live production.
  • Focus engineering execution on business and clinical metrics, including reducing administrative burden and improving workflow efficiency, to support customer retention and NPS/CSAT.
  • Establish organizational standards for data integrity, product quality, architectural reviews, and formal customer sign-off criteria.
  • Guide teams in building high-throughput pipelines to ingest structured and unstructured healthcare datasets through HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.
  • Standardize frameworks to validate, sanitize, deduplicate, and normalize healthcare data for downstream AI/ML use.
  • Implement automated data-quality testing and schema enforcement to identify data corruption or format mismatches before ingestion.
  • Oversee platform configuration to match clinical workflows and healthcare operational taxonomies.
  • Lead platform deployments and integrations with production EHR systems and provider workflows.
  • Design scalable pre-sales and post-sales technical solution architectures that align customer requirements with platform capabilities.
  • Oversee development, local integration, optimization, and fine-tuning of autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents using LLM orchestration frameworks.
  • Enforce deployment-level guardrails and real-time monitoring to promote safe AI outputs.

Benefits

  • PTO accrual of 20 days per year.
  • Parental leave.
  • Monetary incentives and recognition for performance.
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Company-sponsored short- and long-term disability insurance and basic life insurance.
