The Director for University Assessment System and Support for Faculty Training is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and sustaining the university's comprehensive assessment system that connects assessment to instruction and facilitates the use of assessment results to target instruction and intervention. Additionally, the position is responsible for assisting with the operations and functions related to faculty training. This requires the director to be responsible for compiling, and documenting data from artifacts aligned with student learning outcomes and assist in carrying out responsibilities of the Academy. The coordinator collects, aggregates, and analyzes data to prepare reports. The director will work collaboratively with chairs and faculty to assist in assessment processes for departments. The director oversees the maintenance of the university's Assessment System to prepare for national and state accreditation. The director is responsible to work with the Assistant to the Provost for Effective Teaching and Innovation, the Assistant to the Provost for Academic Excellence and Institutional Effectiveness, and the Provost to develop and maintain the university assessment system, including the development of new systems as needed. The position supports the faculty development activities sponsored by the Academy. The director will use knowledge of quantitative research methodology for multiple projects and will establish effective research procedures and standards that can help improve and enhance results and productivity.
