Tideworks Technology•Seattle, WA
•$165,000 - $205,000

About The Position

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and serves as Tideworks Technology’s senior FP&A leader. The role has full accountability for enterprise planning, forecasting, management reporting, business performance analysis, and decision support in a private-equity-backed software and technology business. It is an individual-contributor role at launch, requiring the Director to build and execute core FP&A processes while influencing leaders across the organization. The position owns the annual budget, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, department and project performance reporting, recurring-revenue and professional-services analytics, cash-flow forecasting, and financial models supporting strategic and operating decisions. It partners with Accounting, Sales, Professional Services, Product, Engineering, HR, IT, Legal, and Procurement. The Corporate Controller owns GAAP actuals, accounting policies, close, and external financial reporting; FP&A owns budgets, forecasts, operating analytics, and forward-looking planning. The Director leads enterprise planning, budgeting, forecasting, management and private-equity reporting, revenue and commercial finance, cost and headcount planning, cash-flow and strategic finance, systems and data transformation, and cross-functional operating cadences. The role also serves as FP&A business owner for planning and reporting requirements during the migration from IFS to NetSuite, and develops scalable dashboards and standardized reporting using Power BI or comparable tools.

  • Reduce manual spreadsheet dependency through governed models, repeatable data flows, version control, and review procedures while preserving transparent assumptions and auditability.
  • Document FP&A processes, model logic, calendars, data ownership, KPIs, and reporting standards.
  • Operate as a hands-on individual contributor and establish a scalable FP&A operating model, including planning standards, review controls, workload prioritization, documentation, and processes that can support future growth.
  • Establish regular budget-owner and leadership review cadences focused on decisions, corrective actions, risks, opportunities, and ownership.
