About The Position

Fireclay Partners is a veteran-owned middle-market M&A and buy-side advisory firm based in Kansas City. They serve private equity sponsors and family-owned businesses on platform sourcing, bolt-on acquisitions, and select sell-side mandates. Their model combines investment banking execution with senior operating expertise and industry advisors with deep domain experience to support deal sourcing, due diligence, and sponsor engagement. This is a per-engagement consulting role, not full-time employment. The role involves partnering with the Fireclay team on specific deals where the consultant's domain expertise creates value. Engagements typically run three to twelve months on a deal-specific basis. Fireclay is actively building bench depth across several subsectors within financial and business services, including specialty insurance and wholesale brokerage, wealth management and RIA roll-ups, specialty finance and non-bank lending, accounting, legal, and consulting roll-ups, marketing and creative agency consolidation, and staffing and workforce solutions.
