Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Director of Finance will lead a team responsible for Corporate Financial Reporting, Accounting Operations, Internal Controls, Compliance, and Financial Systems. This role serves as a crucial operational anchor, ensuring financial integrity, audit readiness, scalable systems infrastructure, and disciplined financial governance. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing accounting and finance team, serving as a trusted partner to the CFO and executive leadership to support the company's growth

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership and accounting experience, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS or technology company scaled beyond $100M in revenue.
  • Active CPA or CA designation required.
  • University degree in Accounting or Finance; public accounting background (Big 4) highly desirable.
  • Strong experience with ERP, HRIS, and equity systems, with preference for direct experience with NetSuite (ERP), Dayforce (payroll/HRIS), Shareworks (cap table/equity management), and Navan (expense management).
  • Deep expertise in US GAAP, SaaS/recurring revenue metrics, multi-entity global consolidations, and ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to translate complex technical accounting and operational data into actionable insights for the CFO and executive team
  • Unquestioned integrity, transparency, and high ethical standards.
  • Hands-on, solution-oriented leader who rolls up their sleeves to streamline processes and resolve system bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in strict accordance with US GAAP. Ensure accuracy, appropriate disclosures, and efficient close cycles.
  • Prepare reporting packages and board materials for the CFO, Board of Directors, investors, and lenders.
  • Instill scalable processes to optimize workflow and enforce a robust internal control environment around financial reporting, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and global accounting compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the close, reporting, and controls environment — identifying opportunities to automate manual work, streamline workflows, and scale processes ahead of the company's growth trajectory.
  • Oversee and optimize core financial systems — ensuring seamless operation, data integrity, and integration across NetSuite (ERP), Dayforce (payroll/HRIS), Shareworks (equity management), and Navan (travel/expense management).
  • Provide strategic oversight of global payroll, benefits accounting, and equity plan administration in close coordination with HR, Legal, and equity owners.
  • Serve as the primary leader for the annual external audit and accounting advisory relationships.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing accounting and reporting team (10+ direct/indirect reports).
  • Lead accounting due diligence, purchase price allocation execution, and financial integration for strategic M&A initiatives as directed by the CFO.
