Director, Finance - Viral Vector & Advanced Therapies Business
About The Position
The Finance Director serves as a key member of the leadership team for the Viral Vector Services & Advanced Therapies business within the Pharma Services Group. As a leading CDMO partner supporting gene and advanced therapies, we provide end-to-end capabilities spanning process and analytical development through clinical and commercial manufacturing. Our experienced teams have successfully supported more than 100 client programs, delivering first-in-human clinical materials and accelerating innovative therapies from the laboratory to patients worldwide. As Finance Director, you will provide strategic financial leadership for the Viral Vector Services sites in the United States and Belgium, as well as the mRNA manufacturing site in Italy. This highly visible role carries full responsibility for the financial performance of the business, including ownership of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow across the supported sites. Partnering closely with site leaders and global business stakeholders, you will develop and execute financial strategies that drive profitable growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation. You will lead a high-performing finance team responsible for forecasting, planning, performance management, and financial controls while ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer commitments. Through data-driven insights and strong business partnership, you will influence key decisions related to investments, capacity, productivity, and resource allocation. Your leadership will help optimize operational performance, enhance financial outcomes, and support the continued growth of our global Advanced Therapies network.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA strongly desired.
- Minimum of 10 years of dynamic finance experience with management roles, including finance leadership and operations finance expertise.

Responsibilities
- Establish efficient and effective methods and measure what matters to provide appropriate real-time insights.
- Drive meticulous, standardized, and clear financial reporting to key site level and business level metrics (i.e. backlog, site utilization, productivity savings, and return on investment) and provide insights to execution for all business initiatives.
- Ensure compliance and strong controls are applied throughout all business activities, upholding policies and US GAAP.
- Lead processes to develop operating plans down to the lowest level required driving accountability at the point of impact and ensuring there is alignment at all levels of the organization to deliver on financial objectives.
- Lead financial elements of the forecasting processes, including strategic plans and ongoing forecasts using predictive insights and innovative forecasting methods to drive improved accuracy and predictability.
- Collaborate to drive effective prioritization of business initiatives and alignment with financial objectives.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop talent, encouraging a continuous improvement mentality.
- Act as a trusted business partner to leadership, providing financial management and strategic insights and leading critical initiatives to drive profitable growth and achieve/outperform goals.
- Facilitate strong alignment and business partnership with all functions to drive successful outcomes including complexity reduction, efficiency, indirect cost management, inventory risk management, and capital allocation.
