About The Position

The Director role supports the Distinguished Events program. This is a fully remote position and can be based anywhere within the U.S. Leads execution against the enterprise vision, direction and strategy for a best-in-class events portfolio for assigned program of work with a multimillion-dollar fundraising target. Partners with department and program leadership to develop and support the execution of core strategies to maximize revenue and engagement with fundraising events. Ensures revenue goal achievement through collaboration with leadership, event staff, and the engagement and mobilization of volunteers and partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 8 years+ of fundraising experience in a large nonprofit setting.
  • Seasoned experience in fundraising events, volunteer management and cultivation and strong understanding of market, community, and constituent experiences
  • Outcome driven, strong project management ability
  • Collaborative leadership, management, coaching and development of diverse staff
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Highly self-motivated, organized and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills, creative problem solving
  • Effectively builds formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to analyze and integrate information from relevant sources.
  • Ability to proactively monitor financial and performance indicators and adjust activities to respond to changing circumstances and priorities to meet goals.

Responsibilities

  • Coaches and supports staff managing and influencing fundraising events on core revenue drivers including volunteer leadership, sponsorship, event experience, and stewardship.
  • Leads and manages program specific enterprise-wide projects and initiatives including staff partner support to leadership volunteer teams.
  • Partners with the marketing and operations team to use data/insights, develop training, collateral, and resources to ensure achievement of goals.
  • Drives a donor-centric approach to revenue generation by cultivating and stewarding high-value relationships, leveraging consistent engagement strategies and shared portfolio management practices across markets.
  • Serves as a strategic advisor to market and event leadership on budgets and forecasting, ensuring strong ROI and achievement of top- and bottom-line goals.
  • Partners with the enterprise development leaders to develop revenue growth strategies, ensuring alignment across functions and integration with broader organizational priorities.
