The Director Counsel, Employee Relations is responsible for providing legal counsel on a wide range of internal employee relations matters. This role will work closely with Human Resources, providing fast-paced employment-law-based advice and counsel, and engaging in project/policy work. The position involves identifying legal and HR-related issues and trends, ensuring that priorities and actions in ELR matters support the company's brand, culture, and enterprise strategy. The role may also involve working with outside counsel, following legal work standards, and staying current on legal and business developments. Additionally, the Director Counsel will assist in strategically representing Target's interests to government agencies and other outside entities.
