About The Position

UCSF’s Enterprise Strategy & Transformation (EST) seeks an exceptional professional to join our highly skilled and engaged team providing internal consulting services to our dynamic, mission-driven institution. The Organizational Development Manager leads a team of consultants providing expert coaching, training, and consulting on Lean continuous improvement implementation, in addition to strategic planning, project management, and change management. The EST staff enjoy challenging and impactful project work, professional development opportunities, and an engaging hybrid work environment. The EST Managing Consultant is a key leader in the EST and provides consulting services directly to clients in addition to managing a team of consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for our Lean continuous improvement program, working with leaders and staff to advance our culture of continuous improvement
  • Provide consulting to our internal clients, utilizing skills in project management, group facilitation, and change management to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Work with our internal clients to understand their needs and goals, and to plan EST engagements to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Manage professional-level staff and projects; assume responsibility for the quality of work produced by organizational consultant staff.
  • Establish objectives and determine how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provide guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established organization policies.
  • Participate as a member of the EST leadership team. Assist with establishing goals, objectives, and practices in support of organizational effectiveness.
