About The Position

The Director Enterprise Readiness is responsible for ensuring the organization is fully prepared to adopt and sustain large-scale transformation initiatives, while also identifying opportunities for process and capability maturity across “Run the Business” work. This role bridges strategy and execution—aligning business functions, enabling adoption, and driving organizational preparedness across people, processes, technology, and governance. The Director Enterprise Readiness is accountable for ensuring Medica’s strategic and transformational investments achieve intended business outcomes through effective enterprise readiness, change enablement, and operational adoption. It also works collaboratively to advance capability maturity e-to-e across Medica to ensure we sell, implement, and operate effectively, decreasing defects in our processes and driving improved stakeholder experience. Acting as a key change agent, this role is accountable for driving business decisions related to the planning, delivery, and operational aspects of both strategic initiatives and ongoing “operations,” while ensuring the organization is ready to adopt and sustain change at scale. The Director Enterprise Readiness partners closely with Executive leaders, Business Owners, Product Management, Technology, and Operations leaders across Medica to ensure readiness is consistently embedded in delivery and that outcomes are realized and sustained as part of business-as-usual operations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare, business operations, consulting, or transformation delivery
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a Readiness Owner or Senior Readiness Leader in a matrixed organization

Responsibilities

  • Evolve and mature the Readiness Operating Model: Evolve the Readiness operating model - what readiness owns, how it interacts with functional teams and the EPMO, and what governance looks like year-round. Includes scope definition, business outcomes readiness role clarity, governance cadence, escalation paths, and dashboard framework.
  • Continue to mature the Readiness capability at Medica – assess the largest opportunities for maximum value, recommend the appropriate sequencing of work, and build a multi-year roadmap for continuous improvement across Medica.
  • Establish and mature enterprise readiness standards, tools, and practices.
  • Build long-term readiness capabilities that support sustained transformation and run-the-business change.
  • Recommend team roles and alignment to the business, identify where to leverage other teams in the readiness eco-system and determine how to lead and leverage a Readiness Center of Excellence.
  • Ensure solutions and readiness activities comply with Medica policies, regulatory, and legislative requirements.
  • Drive Enterprise Readiness, Planning and Execution: Serve as the senior business readiness expert, ensuring people, process, training, policy, and operational impacts are identified, planned, and executed for key capabilities or strategic initiatives that are “in scope” for Readiness.
  • Drive enterprise readiness planning and execution to ensure the organization is operationally and culturally prepared to deliver new platforms, products, or strategic priorities.
  • Create and scale the infrastructure to surface organizational readiness risks, evolve the current governance and reporting structure to surface those risks, and build a prioritization framework for ongoing risk assessment and remediation
  • Measure enterprise readiness, adoption, and post-implementation outcomes to inform continuous improvement.
  • Cross-functional Stakeholder Management including Executive leadership: Aligns cross-functional stakeholders to support successful change and adoption
  • Leads and delivers executive-level communications to ensure alignment, transparency, and clarity on readiness, progress, and outcomes
  • Translates complex transformation efforts into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership decision-making
  • Ensures readiness considerations are embedded early in portfolio and delivery planning, influencing scope and timing decisions as needed.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment and escalation management related to readiness activities – rationalize current escalation processes and recommend improvements.
  • People Leadership: Leads and develops employees to achieve business objectives while fostering an inclusive, compliant, and performance‑driven work environment.
  • Sets clear expectations, provides ongoing coaching and feedback, and supports employees’ professional growth.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, employment laws, and HR programs
  • Promotes engagement, collaboration, and accountability while aligning team outcomes with organizational goals.
  • Provides strategic leadership and people direction by setting vision, developing talent, and ensuring organizational effectiveness, compliance, and alignment with enterprise priorities.
