About The Position

The Director – Enterprise Data Management and Analytics will be responsible for leading the enterprise strategy for data architecture, data integration and advanced analytics to enable data-driven decision-making and accelerate digital transformation. In this role, the incumbent will also design and develop certified data models, reports, and dashboards. The Director of Data Management and Analytics partners closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure data is managed as a strategic asset and analytics capabilities align with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8 + years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data strategy roles.
  • 5+ years of experience in business relationship management or program management.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Broad knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, SQL, Azure Data Lake Services, PowerBI, Business Objects, Cognos, and traditional data warehousing technologies.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, analytics platforms, and enterprise data management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement enterprise-wide data management strategies that support AI & Analytics objectives and is aligned with Xylem’s business goals and technology roadmap.
  • Design and maintain scalable data architecture that positions data for reuse across functions and use cases.
  • Ensure seamless integration of data across the application landscape.
  • Establish data governance policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Program Management to achieve target AI & Analytics outcomes.
  • Implement processes for data profiling, cleansing and validation.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to maintain data accuracy, consistency, reconciliation, and trust.
  • Design and develop certified data models to be leveraged by citizen developers.
  • Design and develop certified reports and dashboards that are scalable and user-friendly.
  • Translate business requirements into operational capabilities.
  • Ensure data is discoverable, trusted, and compliant by managing metadata, providing catalog and lineage transparency.
  • Protect enterprise data through a scalable security architecture and controls that enforce least-privilege access and regulatory compliance.
  • Build, lead, and mentor high-performing data engineering, BI, and analytics teams.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and data literacy across the organization.
  • Collaborate with IT, cyber-security, compliance, and business leaders to ensure data initiatives are aligned and well-integrated.
