About The Position

As a member of the Enterprise Architecture Leadership team, the Director of the Business Solutions and Application (BS&A) Architecture team will be responsible for driving the strategic planning, execution and management of our enterprise applications portfolio including Revenue & Finance, Provider & Practice, Core Business, Consumer Experience, Core Clinical, Ancillary Services, Care Coordination & Information, and Specialty Services. This role is critical to ensuring that our business technology solutions align with our corporate strategy & enterprise architecture, enhance operational efficiencies, and provide competitive advantage. As a key member of the Enterprise Architecture Leadership team, the Director of the BS&A team will collaborate closely with other leaders in Digital Technology and the business units to spearhead digital transformation initiatives, optimize application value, and ensure the security and compliance of our application landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required
  • 10+ years of Information Technology Architecture (application)
  • 5+ years of leadership role managing an enterprise application portfolio
  • Extensive experience with Healthcare applications.
  • Served as architecture or subject matter expert thought leader for Healthcare technology and influenced the business strategy to address enterprise concerns.
  • Worked in process-driven structured environments, and participated in process optimization activities.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise application platforms, cloud computing and immersion technologies. Ability to use strategic planning to translate business goals into technology solutions
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with other executives, stakeholders and teams across the organization, and to influence people to achieve common goals.
  • Strong understanding of systems development lifecycle to provide technical leadership for multifunctional projects or initiatives.
  • Effective communication of technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Productivity suite software required

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field preferred
  • TOGAF Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies & roadmaps for enterprise applications (Business and Clinical) that support our organization’s business goals and objectives.
  • In collaboration with the Application and Technology Partner team(s), carry out buy-build-customize analyses and develop plans to operationalize the results.
  • Own, maintain and promote awareness of application strategic roadmap(s).
  • Enforcing architecture direction and technology standards within Solution Design while also managing exceptions and providing input to the ongoing evolution of the architecture direction and standards.
  • Oversee the management of our enterprise applications portfolio, ensuring it meets current and future business requirements.
  • Evaluate and prioritize projects based on strategic alignment, return on investment and risk.
  • Perform ongoing buy-build-customization analyses for current and future components of the portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities for system stabilization, modernization, optimization (rationalization), and harmonization within the Enterprise ecosystem.
  • Work with our internal IT, Cybersecurity Risk Management & Audit & Governance team(s) to ensure enterprise applications comply with all relevant laws, regulations and industry standards.
  • Oversee risk management processes to identify, assess and mitigate risks associated with applications and database systems.
  • Develop productive relationships with business leaders across the enterprise to influence how applications can enable new sources of value.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performance team of IT architecture application professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, excellence and ongoing improvement.
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
  • Communicate with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
