About The Position

Shape the digital backbone that powers life‑changing biologics. As Director, Enterprise Architecture, you’ll set the enterprise technology strategy and standards that connect our global operations—spanning IT/OT, cloud, data/AI, integration, and cybersecurity. You’ll translate our Vision 2030 into cohesive architectures, lead our Architecture Review Board, and guide mission‑critical programs (ERP, PAS/X, LIMS, Slipstream, manufacturing IT/OT, integrations, and data strategy) that safeguard compliance and accelerate time‑to‑value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required.
  • 10+ years of experience in a related field required.
  • 6+ years’ experience managing, leading, and developing leaders (Managers/Supervisors).
  • Alternatively, Master’s degree with 8+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experienced working in a changing, project‑driven organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of subordinate managers and senior architects; set objectives and manage performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree and/or TOGAF certification.
  • Background in regulated (GxP/GMP) environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience in biopharma, manufacturing, automation, quality systems, or supply chain is an advantage.
  • 6–10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical/biological manufacturing operations preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience leading and developing leaders (Managers/Supervisors).
  • Expertise spanning enterprise/solution architecture for secure cloud, data/AI, integration, and OT/edge.

Responsibilities

  • Set the enterprise architecture direction: Define reference architectures, blueprints, policies, and multi‑year roadmaps aligned to our digital strategy.
  • Lead architecture governance: Chair the enterprise ARB, adjudicate standards and exceptions, and ensure coherence across IT, OT, cloud, data, and cybersecurity.
  • Orchestrate platform and integration design: Establish API/event/canonical models and data standards for enterprise‑scale interoperability.
  • Drive IT/OT convergence: Define target architectures for MES/LIMS/QMS, historians, SCADA/PLC, and IoT/edge with cybersecurity segmentation and GxP controls by design.
  • Advance cloud, data & AI: Set patterns for landing zones, data platforms, MDM, analytics/AI, and model lifecycle governance; champion reusable data products and platform services.
  • Embed security and compliance: Partner with CISO and QA to integrate GMP/GAMP 5/ALCOA+/GDPR/responsible AI controls; ensure audit‑ready documentation.
  • Provide architectural authority for strategic programs: Shape solution options, simplify landscapes, and steward major design decisions and trade‑offs.
  • Rationalize technology portfolios: Lead PoCs, standards reviews, and drive de‑duplication and re‑use.
  • Manage lifecycle risk and resilience: Maintain an enterprise view on obsolescence and resilience; prioritize remediation and investment.
  • Build talent and community: Mentor architects and mature a global architecture community of practice.
