About The Position

We are looking for a strategic and collaborative leader to join our IT Management team as the Director, Enterprise Architecture. In this role, you will lead the development and maturation of WCLC’s Enterprise Architecture (EA) practice—building and shaping how technology supports business strategy, drives innovation, and ensures long-term sustainability. Reporting to the VP, IT, you will play a key role in setting technology direction, establishing architecture governance, and partnering with leaders across the organization to align technology investments with business priorities.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in IT or business, including leadership of complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Post-secondary education in computer science, information systems, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in enterprise and/or solution architecture across domains.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders to define technology strategy and direction.
  • Experience influencing decisions across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Ability to assess options, evaluate trade-offs, and provide clear recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of data, privacy, and regulatory considerations.
  • Ability to leverage AI-enabled tools responsibly.

Nice To Haves

  • TOGAF certification or equivalent is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Lead Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Practice: Develop and evolve WCLC’s enterprise architecture practice, including frameworks, standards, and governance. Translate business strategy into target-state architecture, roadmaps, and actionable initiatives. Establish architecture principles, patterns, and metrics to guide technology decisions. Ensure alignment of technology investments with business strategy, risk tolerance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner Across the Organization: Act as a strategic advisor to IT and business leadership on architecture and technology direction. Collaborate with leaders across the organization to support planning, prioritization, and delivery of initiatives. Work across IT domains (applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data) to ensure enterprise-wide alignment. Contribute to enterprise risk management, strategic planning, and business continuity efforts.
  • Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: Build, lead, and develop a team of architects across multiple disciplines. Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment through coaching, development, and recognition. Enable effective cross-functional collaboration between business and IT stakeholders.
  • Drive Value and Innovation: Lead the development and execution of enterprise architecture roadmaps and programs. Provide guidance and consultation on solution design and delivery. Analyze industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for business value. Support continuous improvement through process and system enhancements.
