The Corporate Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) is seeking a Director of Energy Transactions to drive our mission to accelerate clean energy procurement of carbon emissions-free electricity by accelerating the adoption of innovative transaction pathways. The Director will help shape the next generation of voluntary clean energy markets by equipping corporate buyers with the knowledge, tools, and market frameworks needed to procure renewable and emerging clean firm technologies. This role sits at the intersection of market strategy, buyer education, and transaction innovation. The Director will lead initiatives that improve corporate readiness to procure technologies such as geothermal, advanced nuclear, energy storage, and natural gas with carbon capture and storage (NG+CCS). The Director will also work with market participants to identify barriers to deployment, develop practical procurement guidance, and support the evolution of market instruments, standards, and commercial frameworks that enable credible corporate action. The ideal candidate combines experience structuring and negotiating energy transactions with a strategic understanding of how markets evolve. They are comfortable engaging with corporate buyers, developers, utilities, policymakers, NGOs, and standards organizations to help solve complex market challenges and accelerate investment in clean electricity. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with team collaboration days on Mondays and Wednesdays and one additional in-office day each week, determined by team priorities.
