About The Position

This opportunity is for a Director, Energy Cash Management Sales role within RBC. The role involves building relationships, focusing on customers, and creating financial solutions for clients. The successful candidate will be part of a leading Treasury Management team and will be responsible for growing a new business within RBC by cultivating cash management relationships within the Energy Capital Markets and Corporate Banking teams. The role requires leveraging deep treasury product knowledge to develop and execute an industry-focused sales strategy, while also developing partnerships with various internal teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of cash management, sales and relationship management experience.
  • Success developing new business with focus on prospecting utilizing strong selling and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Treasury Service products, credit and risk process, overdraft management discipline, and pricing philosophy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong time management, organizational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals; proven top individual contributor.
  • Aptitude for powerful presentations and negotiation skills with internal and external clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience covering the Energy sector preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Articulate RBC’s US Cash Management value proposition persuasively both internally and externally.
  • Grow RBC’s capital markets client base and drive revenue by successfully prospecting and sourcing new cash management opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships.
  • Facilitate strategic dialogue focusing on key client-centric topics, deliver industry benchmarking insight, and partner cross functionally to contribute to the design of a tailored end-to-end cash management solution.
  • Collaborate with Client Relationship Managers, Account Management, and Product to bring forth client insights that will drive solution development and enhancement.
  • Raise new solution ideas while partnering with internal product stakeholders to represent the client perspective in the development and evolution of products and solutions.
  • Deliver thought leadership to the market, prospects and clients on working capital solutions at client roundtables, industry conferences, webinars, and professional media platforms.
  • Devise and execute a plan to exceed sales goals.
  • Accountable for the development of a sales pipeline of both new and cross-sell opportunities and appropriately managing those opportunities through to decision.
