About The Position

This role leads the strategy, governance, and execution of enterprise-wide communications, enablement, engagement, and change management initiatives supporting Greystar Management Services (GMS). The Director serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership, translating business priorities into scalable communication and learning strategies that drive adoption, operational excellence, team member engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Instructional Design, or related fields.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in internal communications, enablement, learning & development, or organizational change, particularly in support of initiative-based rollouts.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams, enterprise programs, and large-scale business initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational transformation, change adoption, communication strategies, and capability-building programs in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership and build alignment across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience developing strategic frameworks, governance models, and measurement methodologies that drive business outcomes.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect communication and enablement strategies to operational and organizational objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience utilizing communication, collaboration, and project management platforms, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Staffbase, Asana, and similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and change management frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience leveraging metrics and insights to drive decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes the communication strategy supporting GMS business priorities, operational initiatives, and transformational programs for Operations Process & Optimization.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic guidance on communication approaches, change impacts, stakeholder engagement, and adoption strategies.
  • Establishes communication governance, standards, and best practices to ensure consistent, effective, and scalable messaging across the organization.
  • Manages multiple communication campaigns simultaneously, including authoring and editing content, managing communications calendar, and partnering with cross-functional working groups, to ensure that all communications, training documents, and presentations meet a high standard of clarity, polish, and brand voice for all Operations Process & Optimization initiatives.
  • Leads enablement and change-management strategies for major business initiatives, system implementations, operational transformations, and organizational changes.
  • Designs and implements change readiness frameworks that improve adoption, reduce disruption, and accelerate realization of business outcomes.
  • Partners with executive stakeholders to identify organizational risks, barriers to adoption, and opportunities to improve team member experience and engagement.
  • Establishes the vision and strategy for operational enablement and learning programs that support frontline and leadership teams.
  • Oversees the development of scalable training programs, implementation resources, performance support tools, and learning experiences that build organizational capability.
  • Ensures enablement solutions align with operational objectives, business priorities, and evolving workforce needs.
  • Leads initiatives that strengthen team member engagement, connection, and understanding of business priorities across USPM.
  • Develops engagement strategies that support organizational culture, reinforce company values, and improve communication effectiveness.
  • Utilizes feedback mechanisms, engagement data, and business insights to continuously enhance the team member experience.
  • Establishes success metrics, reporting frameworks, and key performance indicators to evaluate communication effectiveness, engagement, learning outcomes, and change adoption.
  • Leverages data and analytics to identify trends, inform decision-making, and continuously improve program performance.
  • Oversees portfolio planning, prioritization, resource allocation, and execution across multiple strategic initiatives.
