About The Position

The Director-Employee Relations Investigations provides the strategic focus and oversees the daily operation of the Employee Relations Investigations. Acts as an advisor on employment and employee relations issues. Contributes to the strategic development of the Human Resources (HR) function by developing progressive, business focused employee relations (ER) strategies that meets the current and future needs of the organization. Serves as the liaison with federal and state enforcement agencies such as California Fair Employment and Housing Commission (FEHC). Develops and implements proactive employee relations and workforce development programs. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business or related field required.
  • Minimum five years of experience in employment law, employee relations, human resources or workplace investigations required.
  • Extensive knowledge of state, federal and employment laws and regulations and current employee and labor relations practices required.
  • Demonstrated the ability to develop curriculum and effectively delivered training.
  • Demonstrated the ability to design, develop and implement successful employee related programs and plans in support of diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Able to write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; knowledgeable of computers and software programs necessary to the position. (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Able to do public speaking; be an excellent listener and have strong analytical/ critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in related field preferred.
  • Leadership and healthcare experience preferred.
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.
