About The Position

As Director of Emergency Services, you’ll lead a vital mission to make communities healthier while using your skills, compassion, and dedication to make a meaningful impact. We’re seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead ED operations, build strong teams, advance quality and safety, and help shape emergency care across our organization.

Requirements

• Strong Emergency Services leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams, improve outcomes, and manage complex operations.
• Knowledge of regulations, safety standards, and quality improvement.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for developing people and driving success.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred; BSN preferred.
• At least five years of healthcare leadership experience.
• Appropriate state licensure required for clinical professionals; healthcare administration or emergency management certification preferred.
• Leadership, strategic vision, financial management, operational efficiency, and commitment to quality and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for a busy Emergency Department.
• Drive safety, quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and performance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop nursing leaders and frontline staff.
• Oversee staffing, recruitment, employee development, and performance management.
• Manage budgets, resources, and operational efficiency.
• Lead evidence-based practices and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
• Partner with physicians, leaders, EMS, and care teams to improve care and throughput.
• Promote teamwork, excellence, and patient-centered care.
