The Emergency Medical Sciences (EMS) Program Director provides academic leadership for EMS continuing education training, the Emergency Medical Science Associate of Applied Science Degree and the EMS Bridge Program. The Director will effectively lead and manage the programs’ curriculum (instruction and assessment), resources, and faculty (selection and professional development) in both curriculum and continuing education. The Director acts as a liaison between the communities of interest, accrediting bodies and Stanly Community College. The Emergency Medical Sciences Program Director serves as the EMS lead instructor, program advisor and administrator. The Director reports to the Associate Vice President of Health Sciences and Public Services. Clinical affiliates and/or off-site facilities may require faculty participating in clinical/off site activities to complete a criminal background check, drug screening, and provide proof of current immunization status, health status, and CPR certification. Faculty are required to present verification of current up to date immunizations, as required by the facility, and current CPR status, as required by the facility, to their supervisor annually.
