The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in New York City through law enforcement, peace preservation, public protection, fear reduction, and order maintenance, in partnership with the community. The Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (OEEO) is tasked with preventing, investigating, and addressing employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation within the Department. OEEO conducts thorough and impartial investigations, manages accommodation requests, and oversees compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The Disability Services Facilitator (DSF) acts as the primary liaison for accessibility requirements and ADA compliance. The Executive Agency Counsel will serve as the Director of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Investigations, reporting to the Executive Director of OEEO. This role provides executive leadership, legal guidance, and operational oversight for the Department's EEO Investigations Team. The Director ensures that allegations of employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and related workplace misconduct are investigated promptly, thoroughly, impartially, and in accordance with all applicable laws, Department policies, and investigative standards. The Director will manage EEO Investigations Team Leads and their teams, promoting consistency, accountability, and quality throughout the investigative process.
