About The Position

This role plays a key part in the performance and growth of SPI Health and Safety's national network of distribution centers. As a strategic leader, the Director will ensure the consistency, efficiency, and evolution of logistics operations to directly support business objectives and customer experience.

Requirements

  • Degree in operations management, logistics, industrial engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing distribution centers.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to communicate and drive change.
  • Solid knowledge of logistics systems (WMS, ERP) and automation technologies.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Fully bilingual (French and English).
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in Canada, without any additional sponsorship support from SPI Health and Safety.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive a strong operational vision across all distribution centers.
  • Continuously optimize operations: receiving, warehousing, order picking, and shipping.
  • Lead and develop regional managers with inspiring and consistent leadership.
  • Create safe, high-performing, and collaborative work environments.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
  • Manage national budgets and identify opportunities for cost optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Lead strategic projects: expansion, modernization, and relocation initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (procurement, sales, IT, customer service) to drive value.
