DIRECTOR, DINING SERVICES - Conecuh County Schools, Evergreen, AL
About The Position
Conecuh County Schools, located in the close-knit community of Evergreen, Alabama, is seeking a dynamic Director of Dining Services to lead their new food service partnership across six schools serving approximately 1,100 students. This leader will oversee a team of 14 frontline associates and be responsible for delivering high-quality, nutritious meals while creating a welcoming dining experience that reflects the values of the community. The role requires someone with strong culinary experience who appreciates the importance of home-cooked, comfort-style meals and can bring creativity and passion to the program. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with proven people-management skills and a talent for building strong relationships with school administrators, staff, and the community. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by developing a strong team, enhancing student participation, and supporting occasional catering events throughout the district. Requirements
- Three or more years of food service management experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Financial acumen with strong business intuition
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree in Management, Hospitality, Culinary, or Nutrition preferred
- Additional food service management experience
- K-12 dining experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversees all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the account
- Maintains excellent relationships with the client
- Works with the team to create nutritious, high-quality food for students
- Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams
- Acts as a liaison between Chartwells, the client, and the community
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of the dining services operation
