About The Position

Lansing Unified School District 469, located in Lansing, Kansas, is seeking an energetic and innovative Director of Dining Services to lead its student nutrition program serving approximately 2,600 students across four schools. As this is a new partnership, the district is looking for a dynamic leader who can establish strong relationships, build a positive culture, and drive operational excellence while leading a team of 20-25 associates. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a passion for creating outstanding student dining experiences, developing teams, and identifying opportunities for growth and success. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Management, Hospitality, Culinary, or Nutrition preferred; additional food service management experience
Three or more years of food service management experience
K-12 dining experience preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Financial acumen with strong business intuition

Responsibilities

Oversees all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the account
Maintains excellent relationships with the client
Works with the team to create nutritious, high-quality food for students
Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams
Acts as a liaison between Chartwells, the client, and the community
Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of the dining services operation
