Director, Digital & Performance Marketing

•$162,750 - $244,000

About The Position

As a Director, Digital & Performance Marketing, you will be tasked with building and scaling an AI-first performance marketing engine that drives pipeline, revenue, and growth efficiency, architecting a self-optimizing digital system that continuously informs where we invest, who we target, and how we convert. This is not a traditional demand gen or media role: you will connect audience, intent, creative, and data into a real-time, signal-driven growth engine that consistently produces a high-quality pipeline and accelerates revenue. This role sits at the center of Revenue Marketing and directly impacts pipeline creation, conversion, and CAC efficiency.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of experience in B2B digital or performance marketing, with cybersecurity experience a major plus; experience in cybersecurity, cloud, or enterprise SaaS is preferred.
  • Proven ability to define and lead marketing strategy, not just execute campaigns, with experience influencing planning cycles, investment decisions, and GTM strategy.
  • Strong understanding of how digital marketing drives pipeline, revenue, and growth efficiency, and a demonstrated track record of driving measurable pipeline impact and ROI.
  • Deep expertise across paid media, audience targeting, and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-powered marketing tools, such as predictive bidding, AI creative generation, account scoring models, or similar.
  • Strong experience leveraging first-party and third-party intent data, account scoring and segmentation, multi-channel audience orchestration, and AI/ML-driven optimization and automation.
  • Proficiency with modern martech stacks (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, Demandbase), and the ability to translate data into clear insights and actionable strategy.
  • Proven ability to build or transform digital functions into scalable, AI-enabled revenue engines, with strong test-and-learn discipline and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels, with a bias for action and strong ownership and accountability.
  • Player/coach mindset with experience leading and developing teams, strong cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, Sales, Ops, and Analytics, and excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity and drive alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the digital marketing strategy aligned to pipeline and revenue goals; translate business priorities into clear investment strategies, channel mix, and audience focus; identify market opportunities, whitespace, and growth levers to inform planning; act as a key contributor to annual and quarterly planning, influencing budget allocation and strategic bets.
  • Build and scale a digital-first pipeline generation engine across paid media, intent signals, and account-based engagement; own performance across the funnel, from engagement to pipeline to revenue; architect and optimize a multi-channel engagement strategy spanning SEM, paid social, programmatic display, CTV, audio/podcasts, Reddit, and programmatic OOH, leveraging each channel's strengths to drive coordinated, signal-based engagement across the buyer journey; use AI-driven bidding and budget allocation tools to shift spend across channels in real time, based on performance, intent signals, and account engagement; ensure programs are optimized for pipeline quality, conversion, and velocity, not just lead volume; establish clear linkage between media investment and business outcomes.
  • Translate ICP, personas, and segmentation into actionable target audiences across channels; leverage first-party and third-party intent data, engagement signals, and account insights to prioritize spend; apply AI and predictive modeling to score accounts, surface buying signals, and prioritize outreach before a lead even raises their hand; use a CDP (e.g., Hightouch) to unify first-party data and activate it across paid and owned channels; leverage identity resolution and data collaboration tools (e.g., LiveRamp) to extend audience match rates and connect online and offline signals; partner with Marketing Ops and Data Analytics teams to operationalize signal-driven decision making and continuously refine targeting based on in-market behavior and performance data.
  • Set the AI roadmap for the digital marketing function, including which tools, which use cases, and which workflows get automated first; evaluate and pilot AI platforms for media buying, audience modeling, creative generation, and campaign optimization; build AI-assisted creative testing workflows that generate, test, and iterate ad variants faster than manual processes allow; establish guardrails for responsible AI use in targeting, personalization, and content generation; track where AI is actually moving the needle on CAC, pipeline velocity, and conversion, and kill what is not working; keep the team current on new AI capabilities relevant to performance marketing and push adoption where it drives results.
  • Build and lead a structured experimentation framework across channels, creative, offers, and landing experiences; use performance data and AI-powered analysis to identify drivers of success and areas for optimization; continuously evolve performance benchmarks and redefine what great looks like.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of high-performing digital marketers; establish a culture of accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement; elevate team capabilities across strategy, execution, AI fluency, and data fluency; set and maintain a high bar for performance, creativity, and impact.
  • Lead cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing Ops, Data Analytics, and Regional/Field Marketing to keep digital strategy aligned with business priorities; partner with Geo Leaders to manage expectations and act as the digital voice in regional business reviews; share regional performance, pipeline creation progress, and digital engagement insights with Geo Leaders on a regular cadence; translate global digital strategy into regional context, and surface regional needs back into the broader strategy.
