Horizon3
$211,500 - $235,000Remote

About The Position

Horizon3 is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company dedicated to enabling organizations to proactively find and fix and verify exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them. Our flagship product, the NodeZeroTM platform, delivers production-safe autonomous pentests and other key assessment operations that scale across the largest internal, external, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments. NodeZero has been adopted by organizations of all sizes, from small educational institutions to government agencies and Global 100 enterprises. It is used by ITOps/SecOps teams, consulting pentesters, and MSSPs and MSPs. We are a fusion of former U.S. Special Operations cyber operators, startup engineers, and formerly frustrated cybersecurity practitioners. We're committed to helping solve our common security problems: ineffective security tools, false positives resulting in alert fatigue, blind spots, "checkbox” security culture, cybersecurity skills shortage, and the long lead time and expense of hiring outside consultants. Collectively, we are a team of learn it alls, committed to a culture of respect, collaboration, ownership, and results. This role is accountable for turning digital from a traffic engine into a pipeline multiplier. This is strictly a high-impact Demand Generation and Web Traffic/Conversion leadership role, focused on performance marketing channels and front-end optimization. Core database management, Salesforce CRM operations, backend integrations, and systems infrastructure are fully owned by our dedicated Marketing Operations function, allowing you to focus entirely on demand capture, website strategy, digital execution, and organic conversion channels. This is a builder’s role with a real budget, strong validation and proof points to work with, and a lean team that expects the leader to be in the mechanics, not above them. Success is measured strictly by pipeline sourced and influenced, cost per opportunity, and web conversion rate, not superficial traffic or impressions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B digital marketing or demand generation, ideally within a high-growth B2B SaaS environment characterized by a long, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycle.
  • 3+ years of experience directly leading, mentoring, and developing a digital marketing or performance team.
  • Proven ownership of paid media at scale (search, social, display) with demonstrated success measured on pipeline and cost per opportunity, rather than clicks, traffic, or lead volume.
  • Hands-on depth in paid search and paid social platform mechanics, including manual bid management and automated bidding algorithm steering.
  • Website ownership experience spanning technical performance, mobile optimization, conversion flows, and overall strategy, going far beyond simple content updates.
  • A real conversion rate optimization (CRO) track record, with a robust A/B testing methodology and structured prioritization framework that you can explain in depth.
  • Demonstrated SEO and AEO results on non-branded, high-intent commercial keywords, including content planning, technical optimizations, and gaining visibility within AI search and chat interfaces.
  • Strong experience vetting and managing third-party digital agencies, web developers, or freelance contractors to accelerate execution velocity.
  • Fluency in marginal ROI, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and pipeline mathematics, with the discipline to confidently present and defend budgets to finance and executive leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical industry experience.

Nice To Haves

  • A background in cybersecurity, developer tools, or highly technical enterprise B2B SaaS domains.
  • Hands-on WordPress (or Webflow) build, architecture, staging, and administrative experience.
  • Deep familiarity with advanced person-level or account-level ABM targeting and programmatic advertising.
  • Familiarity with setting up advanced front-end campaign tracking, multi-touch digital attribution models, or UTM structures where they did not previously exist.

Responsibilities

  • Manage paid search, paid social, and display channels, including overall strategy, campaign architecture, bidding strategies, and performance. Maintain a strict focus on cost per opportunity as the primary efficiency metric.
  • Rebuild campaign structures to map spend directly to buying intent and high-value target accounts. Restore clean signal to automated bidding algorithms and ruthlessly eliminate zero-conversion spend.
  • Operate LinkedIn as an enterprise conversion, intent-driven, and account progression channel rather than a passive brand amplification tool.
  • Design and execute Account-Based Marketing (ABM) ad campaigns across performance channels (LinkedIn, targeted display, IP-based ad platforms) to provide digital air cover for outbound sales and SDR motions.
  • Take complete ownership of the website as a conversion vehicle, driving its front-end architecture, mobile responsiveness, page speed, and post-launch feature roadmap. Partner with brand, design, and product marketing to move high-impact validation, product proof, and interactive assessments above the fold on every page.
  • Lead CRO efforts end to end by establishing and maintaining a structured testing program with a rigorous, hypothesis-driven backlog that continuously optimizes the user path from high-intent digital traffic to converted opportunity.
  • Own SEO and organic discoverability. Build prominence for non-branded, high-commercial-intent search queries. Optimize content structure and technical SEO metadata to ensure Horizon3’s platform evidence surfaces organically in traditional search and AI answer engines. Standardize and measure "share of answer" against a key prompt framework.
  • Shift the organic traffic mix away from low-commercial-value or branded search terms toward high-converting landing pages, establishing non-branded, intent-focused keyword visibility as a standard rule.
  • Source, vet, and actively manage specialized external digital agencies, contractors, and freelancers (e.g., SEO consultants, front-end developers, graphic designers, CRO copywriters) to maximize execution velocity without growing fixed team headcount.
  • Lead the digital campaign execution of competitive and category campaigns in close alignment with product marketing. Lead with NodeZero’s proven performance, ensuring campaigns strictly focus on our scale and proof without making specific competitor product claims.
  • Partner with field and vertical marketing to build targeted digital air cover campaigns that run in advance of field events, dinners, and executive campaigns to ensure marketing motions do not start cold.
  • Oversee cookie policies, consent banners, and web tracking mechanisms to ensure complete compliance with global data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) on all public-facing web surfaces.
  • Ensure digital contribution directly translates to pipeline sourced and influenced. Close front-end digital attribution tracking gaps (e.g., proper UTM hygiene, form tracking, self-reported attribution fields) to keep opportunity ARR accurately tracked. Apply a marginal ROI mindset to every spend decision, evaluating and defending the yield of each incremental dollar.
  • Retire superficial metrics from core digital reporting. Evaluate marketing spend based on what the next dollar returns in opportunity value, not historical channel averages.
  • Attract, hire, and onboard highly skilled specialists to support demand and web objectives.
  • Provide active mentorship, hands-on professional coaching, and modern tools to empower your team.
  • Recognize high contributors and create structured professional development and retention plans.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with peer marketing managers and senior leaders across the organization.
