About The Position

Delan Associates is seeking candidates for Business Intelligence Systems Management opportunities in the Tallahassee, Florida area. The posting describes several roles in this job family; the role selected here is Director, Data Warehouse (Job #3400).

The Director, Data Warehouse is responsible for the enterprise-wide architecture, design, development, and maintenance of data warehousing and data mart systems and services. The role works strategically with customers to identify opportunities to use data warehouse and data mart systems to improve business processes, promote strategic use of information technology, and help the workforce use technology as a competitive tool. It establishes enterprise-wide standards to support compatibility and integration across multiple vendors and maintains organizational balance and coherence between front-end desktop/client environments and back-end data warehouse processing. The Director provides corporate leadership, vision, and direction for data warehouse systems in support of enterprise business objectives and requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 10 years of IT and business/industry work experience.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience managing multiple large cross-functional teams and projects and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.
• Experience in strategic planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale integrated relational database systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee enterprise-wide architecture, design, development, and maintenance of data warehousing and data mart systems and services.
• Work with customers strategically to identify and maximize opportunities to use data marts and data warehouse systems to improve business processes and promote strategic use of information technology.
• Enable the workforce to use technology as a competitive tool.
• Establish enterprise-wide data warehouse standards to ensure compatibility and integration of multi-vendor platforms.
• Maintain organizational balance and system coherency between front-end desktop/client environments and data warehouse back-end processing.
• Provide corporate leadership, vision, and direction for data warehouse systems in support of enterprise business objectives and requirements.
