About The Position

The Pre-Clinical Medical Education Director provides leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for the delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the pre-clinical medical curriculum (M1 and M2 years). Reporting to the Vice Dean for Academics, this position collaborates closely with faculty, course directors, curriculum committees, administrative leadership, and institutional stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the curriculum and compliance with accreditation standards. The Director serves as a key member of the medical education leadership team and supports strategic initiatives related to curriculum management, assessment, program evaluation, student learning experiences, and continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in education, health, or related field required; three years progressively responsible related experience, preferably in medical education or higher education OR Equivalent experience – associate’s degree/two (2) years of college plus two (2) years of related work experience or four (4) years of related work experience.
  • Ability to contribute to collaborative, creative problem-solving, strategic thinking, and facilitation of long-term goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects, prioritize competing responsibilities, and meet established deadlines.

  • Knowledge of College of Medicine curriculum, policies, offering and scheduling issues.
