This role is responsible for stewarding some of the company’s most critical external relationships and serves as the senior executive counterpart to national and state league CEOs, and associations. This leader brings strong business judgment, executive presence, and a measurement‑forward mindset—translating mission into strategy, negotiating high‑impact partnerships, and ensuring investments deliver clear, demonstrable value for credit unions, the movement, and TruStage. With rigor in performance management and a data‑driven view of the marketplace, the role navigates regulatory, reputational, and competitive dynamics to strengthen the TruStage brand, advance system priorities through collaboration, and drive long‑term, sustainable impact across the credit union system. Job Purpose: This position leads the Credit Union System relations team and serves as the senior relationship manager for credit union leagues, associations and the American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL) to preserve and advance the company’s reputation as a leading credit union partner within the overall system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Marketing, with a Master’s Degree in Business desirable.
  • 10 years of sales and sales management success in a B2B sales channel with a minimum of 5 years in the financial services industry.
  • Prior people leadership experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and a measurement-forward mindset is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively develop and manage marketing plans.
  • Demonstrated strong customer orientation.
  • Excellent leadership and persuasion skills, with success ability to influence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Credit Union System Relations team to foster strong, strategic partnerships between TruStage and credit union leagues, associations, and system partners.
  • Champion a culture of accountability and growth by setting clear goals, providing ongoing coaching and mentorship, and empowering team members to achieve high performance. Ensure alignment with organizational priorities while cultivating a collaborative and inclusive team environmentPursue and negotiate partnership agreements and strategies for key national credit union associations including America’s Credit Unions, NAFCU, CUES, CSS, AACUC, Inclusive, DCUC, NLCUP, NASCUS and NACUSO.
  • Support senior leadership during negotiations of multi-year state league agreements ensuring they are reflective of the evolving marketplace and TruStage priorities. Oversee the execution of performance and relationship agreements.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership, Sales Executives, and Corporate & Legislative Affairs to ensure effective relationships and that league performance goals are achieved.
  • Lead league relationship strategy with AACUL leadership, negotiating TruStage agreements—including sponsorships, marketing, and speaker placements—to drive partnership outcomes.
  • Oversee partnership divestitures and resolve marketplace conflicts to protect brand reputation."Direct interaction with association and league CEOs and senior leadership teams to influence, grow and nurture mutually beneficially relationships through regular communications, collaboration sessions, and attendance at national and state meetings and events.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leaders, Sales, Meetings and Events, Marketing Strategy and Media, Communications, Business Office and TruStage Ventures to determine league and association event and meeting strategies, presence, and attendance by company representatives. Send leads to sales teams following discussions with credit union leaders at events. Facilitate opportunities to differentiate TruStage from competitor’s through financial and strategic support.
  • Partner with marketing to execute effective storytelling,through earned, owned and paidmedia . Develop business and marketing intelligence from associations and competitors then disseminate intelligence to TruStage leaders and other associations. Includes development of annual top 30 competitor list.
  • Accountable for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure execution of system partnership strategies.
  • Leverage league and association relationships to help TruStage achieve favorable regulatory outcomes.
