About The Position

Jerry.ai is building the first app to manage all aspects of car ownership, making it accessible to all. The company has experienced significant growth since its launch in 2019, reaching 5 million customers and becoming profitable. They are seeking a creative marketing leader to transform their customer communication from transactional to relationship-driven, focusing on building trust and community around the often stressful topic of car ownership. This role will involve defining the brand's personality and voice, crafting compelling copy for various channels, and eventually leading a team to manage organic go-to-market launches and social media presence.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in creative marketing with a heavy focus on copy and customer communications.
  • Proven success with email and SMS campaigns.
  • Experience working with consumer brands.
  • A portfolio showcasing both writing and creative craft.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Ability to translate complex, dry, and stressful topics into engaging, human, and accessible copy.
  • Deep expertise in copywriting, audience development, and product positioning.
  • Understanding of the social media landscape and community dynamics (e.g., Reddit).
  • Ability to take qualitative data and user pain points and turn them into resonant, empathetic marketing copy.
  • Experience in fast-growing startups and ability to champion the unmeasurable value of a great brand experience.

Responsibilities

  • Overhaul existing customer communications, including CRM, email, SMS, and in-app copy, shifting messaging from functional to value-additive and relationship-driven.
  • Understand customer needs and pain points to build trust and engagement through empathetic marketing copy.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Growth, and Customer Insights teams to enhance trust and engagement.
  • Develop and build the brand's personality and voice across all organic surfaces in partnership with the CEO.
  • Take bigger creative swings to help the company stand out online, such as pitching and running campaigns.
  • Own the positioning and messaging for new products.
  • Build a team to manage organic GTM launches and social media presence with native channel expertise.
