About The Position

As a key member of the Corporate Treasury Performance Management (CT PM) team, you will serve as the primary finance relationship manager for Corporate Treasury, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to business leaders across CT and the broader CFO Group. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive management reporting, financial planning, and analysis that drives informed decision-making at the most senior levels of the organization. You will provide leadership over the end-to-end financial planning and budgeting process, bringing rigor, strategic perspective, and a forward-looking lens to everything from monthly reporting cycles to multi-year outlooks. Leading a team three Senior Managers, you will foster a high-performing culture by setting clear direction, developing talent, and instilling a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. Requirements

  • CFA or MFin/ MBA or CPA
  • 10+ years’ experience in a finance/ reporting environment
  • Strong overall understanding of RBC and Corporate Treasury business activities
  • Strong Excel financial modelling skills and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written) and strong interpersonal skills
  • High degree of initiative and solution-based attitude

Responsibilities

  • Manage Finance relationship with Corporate Treasury VPs and Managing Directors and their teams.
  • The incumbent is responsible for designing and developing financial analysis and strategic plans for consideration.
  • Proactively provide insightful and actionable financial and business analysis for senior leaders, for both month-end reporting and forecast cycles, including Plan and the 5-year outlook.
  • Manage a team of finance advisors who will act as primary coverage contacts for product heads within the respective Corporate Treasury functions (ALM, Funding, Securities and Foreign Ops).
  • Own month-end, quarter-end, and forecasting cycles with accountability for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate the construction as well as challenge financial estimates, quarterly forecasts, annual plan, 5 year outlook and line of business reviews with a comprehensive understanding of forward looking trends.
  • Drive integration of drivers based forecasting and product positioning transparency initiatives to enhance reporting analysis capabilities.
  • Analyzing and interpreting financial information for planning and control purposes.
  • Overseeing and evaluating the activities of the finance staff, and providing guidance for their professional development.
  • Ensure understanding of RBC vision, as well as support and reinforce targeted behaviours that contribute to RBC goals.
  • Contribute to and support overall vision and direction for the team.
