About The Position
Bridgewater Associates is seeking a determined and agile Tax Director to join its Tax Department. This role involves managing tax compliance deadlines and collaborating with senior professionals across the firm. The ideal candidate will have a passion for professional and personal evolution and a desire to bring transformative ideas for process improvements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of tax compliance experience with pass-throughs, partnerships, and corporations at the federal, state and local levels, and with ASC 740
- The highest level of integrity and respect for confidential information
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to communicate complex tax matters to non-technical audiences
- Proficiency with MS Office, including advanced Excel skills
- Bachelor’s Degree required
Nice To Haves
- CPA and/or JD preferred
Responsibilities
- Managing and reviewing federal, state, and local tax compliance and related reporting
- Providing technical expertise, knowledge, and research to address complex tax issues
- Preparing and reviewing tax accounting
- Collaborating with third-party return preparers
- Gathering financial information and building work papers for tax reporting
- Maintaining the firm’s relationships with outside tax advisors
- Designing and facilitating tax projects
