About The Position

Bridgewater Associates is seeking a determined and agile Tax Director to join its Tax Department. This role involves managing tax compliance and reporting matters, with a focus on partnership taxation. The Tax Director will be a key player in managing tax compliance deadlines and collaborating with senior professionals across the firm to ensure Bridgewater meets its goals. Requirements

12+ years of tax compliance experience with pass-throughs, partnerships, and corporations at the federal, state and local levels
The highest level of integrity and respect for confidential information
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Ability to communicate complex tax matters to non-technical audiences
Proficiency with MS Office, including advanced Excel skills
Bachelor’s Degree required

Nice To Haves

CPA and/or JD preferred

Responsibilities

Managing and reviewing partnership federal, state, and local tax compliance and related reporting
Providing technical expertise, knowledge, and research to address complex tax issues
Preparing and reviewing tax accounting
Collaborating with third-party return preparers
Gathering financial information and building work papers for tax reporting
Maintaining the firm’s relationships with outside tax advisors
Designing and facilitating tax projects
