About The Position

The Director of Corporate Strategy and Planning plays an integral role in assisting the Vice President of Strategy in developing, implementing and monitoring strategic initiatives. The director coordinates and staffs multi-disciplinary teams that are formed to update system-wide service line or regional plans COPN applications and/or community health needs assessments. The director manages the assessment of market position, trends, demographics, product line definitions for the system; and collaborates closely with senior executives, providing objective data and analysis that enables leaders to surface issues, make informed decisions and achieve strategic goals. In addition, the director is the corporate expert for centralized data systems specific to market analysis, Certificate of Public Need and licensure requirements. The director also manages the strategy team members and is responsible for the selection, mentoring and performance evaluation of these employees, as well as the development and management of the department budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration or public health required.
  • At least 8 years of leadership experience in strategic planning or business development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, market assessment, product development, advanced statistical and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in information systems used to collect and manage market information.
  • Ability to think and work independently, yet function effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop individuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-division and/or division virtual teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a matrix reporting relationship.
  • Experience in management and supervision/mentoring of employees, resources, and budgets.
  • Strong communication skills and experience that would lend credibility and ensure support from external business entities, physicians, corporate executives, managers, employees, and supporting departments to effectively implement the strategic vision.
