About The Position

The United Nations Foundation (UNF) is a strategic partner of the United Nations, bringing together diverse voices and innovative ideas to drive progress and tackle global problems. The global health advocacy team at UNF champions American investments in global health, focusing on immunization programs (Shot@Life), malaria elimination (United to Beat Malaria), and holistic American engagement in global health (HealthForUS). This is a full-time, exempt position responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with corporate partners, including researching and developing funding proposals and managing partner engagement activities, to support global health advocacy and impact priorities. The role will also oversee foundation partnerships. The Director is a key member of the Global Health Advocacy team and works closely with leadership and colleagues across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, international development, business, nonprofit management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience in corporate partnerships, foundation relations, fundraising, business development, or strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success securing funding from corporate partners and private foundations.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, and presentation skills, including experience engaging senior corporate executives.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience of ability to build new relationships and maintain/strengthen existing partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-performing team environment and build strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders across organizations and functional areas.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as Google Drive.
  • Ability to meet regular attendance/tardiness policy.
  • Willingness to travel periodically.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with corporate social responsibility (CSR) partnerships, preferred.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and EveryAction preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with corporate partners to secure financial support for programs.
  • Lead and manage a portfolio of partners, while collaborating with leadership on programs and engagement strategies for additional partnerships.
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow corporate philanthropy, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and partnership packages for corporate donors.
  • Collaborate with communications teams to create partnership materials and recognition opportunities.
  • Manage existing corporate relationships, ensuring strong stewardship and ongoing engagement and program management.
  • Conduct research to identify new funding prospects and partnership opportunities.
  • Lead the development, writing, and submission of competitive grant proposals to private foundations and other institutional donors.
  • Manage the full grant lifecycle including prospect research, proposal development, submission, reporting, and renewals.
  • Maintain a pipeline of foundation funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Coordinate with program and finance teams to gather information for proposals, budgets, and grant reports.
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements and maintain accurate grant documentation.
  • Track fundraising activity, proposal deadlines, and donor engagement using relevant UNF systems.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on fundraising progress and pipeline development.
  • Contribute to broader partnership team strategy and initiatives.
  • Maintain working knowledge of UNF’s agreement processes for contracts and grants, including when to use the appropriate templates.
  • Support the drafting and review of agreements, maintain familiarity with key terms and requirements, and coordinate with UNF’s Finance and Contracts teams as needed.
  • Attend training provided by UNF’s Agreements and Partnerships team to remain current on policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of Salesforce to process and track agreements, extract information, and prepare reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
