About The Position

The Director of Corporate Development is a high-impact leadership role responsible for advancing strategic and transformation initiatives across the company. Reporting to the CFO, this position partners closely with executive leadership to translate the company’s Value Creation Plan into actionable programs with measurable outcomes and organizational alignment. While titled Business Development, this role functions as a central driver of enterprise initiatives, spanning M&A strategy, operational improvement, innovation, and execution discipline. This role provides broad exposure to the business and an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the company’s long-term growth, operational effectiveness, and leadership alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in business administration, management, or closely related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in business development, strategy, operations, consulting, or related field is required.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Strong financial planning and analysis, and operational acumen, including business case development and analysis.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on mindset with a strong bias toward execution and accountability.
  • Knowledge of lean management concepts.

Nice To Haves

  • An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, including evaluation, diligence, and execution preferred.
  • Experience in multi-site industrial, services, construction, or operational environments preferred.
  • Exposure to innovation initiatives, product management, or AI tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of the company’s Value Creation Plan by translating strategic priorities into structured initiatives with clear ownership, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with executive, functional, and field leaders to align priorities, remove barriers, and ensure effective execution of key business initiatives.
  • Identify and advance opportunities to improve organizational performance, strengthen capabilities, and support long-term growth.
  • Develop and refine the company’s acquisition and divestiture strategy, including evaluation of opportunities, pipeline development, and alignment with business needs.
  • Build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of potential acquisition targets in partnership with business and operational leaders.
  • Partner with FP&A and other leaders to develop dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools that measure progress, support decision-making, and connect initiative outcomes to business performance.
  • Drive accountability across strategic initiatives by monitoring progress, identifying risks, and ensuring timely follow-through.
  • Develop and implement scalable tools, processes, and playbooks to improve consistency and execution discipline across the organization.
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning sessions, leadership discussions, and working meetings to support alignment, decision-making, and execution.
  • Engage field leadership to gather insights, test ideas, and support adoption of strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Identify and support innovation opportunities, including practical applications of AI and other emerging tools, to improve business performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Support executive-level planning, initiative tracking, and preparation for key leadership meetings and strategic offsites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of business operations
