About The Position

We are seeking a highly connected, execution-focused leader to take ownership of delivering SCMP’s B2B products to the corporate community. This is not a marketing role. The core mandate is to design, produce, and execute C-suite flagship events, roundtables (in Hong Kong, Asia, and Mainland China), SCMP+ exclusive experiences, media training, C-level tools, and expert network services—all aimed at building the largest and most influential Asia-based executive and business community, with expansion into Mainland China. The ideal candidate is a world-class event programmer and community operator who knows how to engage C-suite leaders, source heavyweight speakers, and ensure flawless delivery of high-value products that drive retention and loyalty. In this role, you will focus exclusively on delivering B2B products, including: C-Suite Flagship Events & Roundtables Lead the strategy, programming, and end-to-end execution of high-impact C-suite flagship events (e.g., summits, forums) and intimate roundtables across Hong Kong, Asia, and Mainland China. Source, secure, and manage global heavyweight speakers (CEOs, policymakers, investors, technologists, economists) to drive attendance and prestige. Design agendas that address timely, strategic issues relevant to Asia-based executives. Manage all logistical, production, and on-site delivery elements to ensure a world-class experience. SCMP Plus Exclusive Events Develop and deliver SCMP Plus exclusive events for premium members Ensure SCMP Plus events consistently exceed member expectations and reinforce the value of the community. Media Training for Corporate Clients Own the delivery of media training programs tailored for corporate clients, in partnership with internal editorial experts or external specialists. Manage scheduling, content customization, and post-training follow-up to ensure high satisfaction and repeat engagement. Expert Network Services Manage the delivery of expert network services, connecting corporate clients with subject matter experts (industry specialists, academics, former policymakers) for one-on-one consultations or small-group briefings. Ensure seamless end-to-end fulfillment—from scoping member requests to identifying, vetting, and debriefing experts. Community Engagement & Growth Act as the principal ambassador for the C-suite community, building deep, trust-based relationships with key members across Hong Kong, Asia, and Mainland China. Monitor community engagement, attendance, and satisfaction; use insights to refine programming and product offerings. Identify market opportunities to expand the community, particularly among Chinese companies expanding abroad.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in executive event programming, C-level community delivery, or B2B product execution.
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering flagship C-suite events and roundtables across Asia, especially in Mainland China.
  • Demonstrated ability to source and secure global heavyweight speakers through personal networks, agencies, or institutional relationships.
  • Experience delivering media training, executive tools, or expert network services to senior leaders.
  • Strong understanding of the China business landscape and the ability to operate effectively in Hong Kong, Asia, and Mainland China markets.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is essential.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – thrives in a high-freedom, high-accountability environment.
  • Impeccable project management and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-stakes products simultaneously.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to engage, influence, and build trust with C-suite leaders.
