About The Position

This role owns the Company’s enterprise external narrative across customers, consumers, third-party partners, regulatory, financial, and market audiences, ensuring a clear, consistent voice in the market. It leads strategic external communications that position the Company as a trusted, innovative, and forward-looking partner delivering value in a complex and highly regulated environment. As the functional lead, the role drives integrated storytelling that strengthens customer and consumer confidence, differentiates the Company’s products and services, and supports revenue growth. It advises Corporate Affairs and executive leadership to drive positive enterprise strategy and business outcomes, by simplifying regulatory dynamics, supporting Government Relations and stakeholder engagement, and translating complex developments into clear, compelling communications that help individuals understand and navigate distinctions between consumer and incarcerated services.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve enterprise narratives that position the Company as a regulated infrastructure supporting strengthened safety, compliance, operational, and community outcomes.
  • Ensures that regulatory, policy, and industry developments are translated into strategies and messaging that shape perception, informs action, and strengthens stakeholder trust.
  • Ensure alignment between product, policy, and corporate narratives across all external channels.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools to test and refine audience personas and message receptivity, ensuring narratives resonate across all audiences.
  • Partner closely with Government Relations and Legal to anticipate, interpret, and communicate regulatory and legislative developments.
  • Develop communication strategies that support policy engagement, regulatory readiness, and customer confidence.
  • Translate complex regulatory requirements into customer-relevant implications and value propositions.
  • Utilize data and AI-driven insights to monitor sentiment and stakeholder response to regulatory developments, informing proactive communication strategies.
  • Lead development of customer-facing messaging and go-to-market strategies that explain product, pricing, and policy changes in a clear, credible, and proactive manner.
  • Lead communications during periods of regulatory, pricing, or policy change, ensuring customers and partners understand implications, continuity, and value.
  • Shape narratives that support retention, trust, and growth, particularly during periods of change.
  • Ensure consistency between external communications, sales messaging, and customer engagement efforts.
  • Lead trade digital content strategy and support Sales Enablement with a tiered approach to annual trade events.
  • Apply data-driven insights and AI-supported testing to optimize messaging effectiveness across customer segments, ensuring clarity, relevance, and trust.
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and Marketing to develop B2B narratives that drive adoption, pipeline growth, and market differentiation.
  • Support go-to-market efforts with externally validated messaging, proof points, case studies, and thought leadership and demand-generation content.
  • Elevate storytelling to emphasize business outcomes, operational impact, and ROI.
  • Incorporate AI-driven insights and performance data to strengthen messaging, proof points, and value articulation.
  • Support enterprise positioning with financial stakeholders by reinforcing narratives around stability, compliance, growth, and long-term value.
  • Lead proactive and reactive media strategy, positioning the Company as a credible, solutions-oriented industry leader.
  • Engage with media, influencers, and third-party stakeholders to shape perception and strengthen brand trust.
  • Serve as a spokesperson and advisor to executives on external positioning.
  • Use AI-enabled tools to analyze media trends, message pickup, and narrative performance, continuously refining external positioning.
  • Anticipate and mitigate reputational risks, particularly those related to policy, pricing, advocacy-driven narratives, and regulatory scrutiny.
  • Develop coordinated response strategies that align Corporate Affairs, Legal, and Government Relations.
  • Proactively shape external narratives in high-scrutiny environments to strengthen credibility and trust.
  • Monitor the external landscape to identify emerging risks, opportunities, and narrative gaps and develop plans to address them.
  • Incorporate AI-supported monitoring to identify misinformation, emerging risks, and sentiment shifts in real time, enabling faster and more informed responses.
  • Build alignment across Communications, Government Relations, Legal, Product, Human Resources, and Sales to ensure one clear, consistent external voice.
  • Ensure alignment between internal and external narratives, so associates, customers, and stakeholders receive a cohesive and consistent story.
  • Build and scale repeatable communication processes and frameworks that increase speed, consistency, and enterprise impact across functions.
  • Establish standards and guardrails for external messaging, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with enterprise positioning.
  • Serve as a senior partner to leadership teams in shaping enterprise-level communications decisions.
  • Champions and shapes how AI tools are adopted across the function and enterprise—driving more efficient workflows, faster speed to market, and consistent, high-quality outputs.
