About The Position

Responsible for overseeing, developing, and implementing communications initiatives to drive enterprise change and upskill leadership capabilities across the organization. This role enables business performance by driving clarity during periods of change, embedding corporate culture in daily behaviors, and equipping leaders to communicate effectively at scale. The position ensures that the company's vision, mission, goals, and key messages are clearly communicated to colleagues and stakeholders. It also directs the day-to-day operations of the communications team, including performance management, talent development, budgeting, and resource allocation. Additionally, the Director provides interim crisis communications management and public relations support to protect brand reputation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in corporate/internal communications, change management, or public relations.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience; preferably across multiple locations or in a matrix organization.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing teams, including remote teams.
  • Excellent writing, presentation-building, and negotiation skills with an ability to tailor messages to diverse, multiple constituencies.
  • Executive presence with a demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Solid business knowledge, organizational savvy, and the ability to operate effectively in both strategic and operational capacities.
  • Strong customer focus and growth mindset with a consultative approach to finding root-cause solutions.
  • High levels of drive, work ethic, and personal accountability.
  • Ability to respond to rapidly changing conditions with agility, sound judgment, and rigorous attention to detail.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and a strong understanding of both internal and external communication strategies.
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills.
  • Proactive approach to tackling challenging assignments with enthusiasm and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and handle confidential information.
  • Flexibility to travel and work non-traditional hours as necessary to account for global time zone differences and PR/media crises.

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Six Sigma, PROSCI, or PMP certifications preferred
  • Generative and Agentic AI experience preferred
  • Consulting background highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a strategic business partner to the senior leadership team, ensuring all change initiatives are sequenced for maximum impact and minimum field disruption.
  • Partners with executives to recognize and capitalize on internal and external opportunities.
  • Defines the end-to-end Change Leadership and Communication framework for the organization, ensuring proper socialization to the right audiences at the right times to increase adoption and readiness.
  • Connects the internal and external voice of the organization through high-quality storytelling, aligning local strategies with global themes to bring the mission, vision, and values to life.
  • Directs a high-performing team of specialists, overseeing recruitment, performance management, and professional development to build a best-in-class Colleague Engagement, Communications, Change, and Innovation function.
  • Guides the team in the writing, design, and timely production of communication materials, including video/audio scripts, executive letters, speeches, print, and digital content.
  • Leads the proper pacing of content delivery across the business.
  • Develops strategies to utilize new media technologies (e.g., convenient, mobile access) consistent with overall vision and business objectives.
  • Identifies potential organizational risks and assists with crisis communication planning, drafting media talking points, and keeping senior leadership apprised of relevant information.
  • Serves as a mentor across the enterprise to upskill communication and change capabilities among organizational leaders.
