About The Position

This role is responsible for managing complex agreements tied to large value transactions with commercial and military customers. The Director will lead cross-functional teams in contract negotiations, perform risk analysis, and prepare compliance matrices. They will also work with business units to facilitate ongoing business changes, claims, and provide contractual counsel. Additionally, the role involves managing visibility and reporting to leadership on performance metrics, preparing budgets and forecasts, and supporting new business acquisition through proposal preparation, financial assessment, and template creation. Participation in M&A activities is also a key aspect of this position.

Requirements

  • Academic degree (BA, LLB, or MA) in Business (financial and contractual experience is a plus)
  • Profound professional experience (>10 years) in Contracting, Controlling, Costing and Commercial Management
  • Solid understanding of process development and improvement and excellent analytical skills.
  • High level of communication on all levels (verbal and written), in English and one other language is desirable.
  • Strong presentation skills to executive leadership level
  • High proficiency in MS-Office Products, and enterprise based system (SAP, etc.,)

Responsibilities

  • Engage on top priority and complex agreements tied to large value transactions with commercial and military customers.
  • Lead cross functional/divisional teams in contract negotiations working closely with Hutchinson’s legal department.
  • Perform risk analysis review for all contractual documents and recommend mitigating options. Understand the Company and products in order to identify risks, develop solutions, mitigation and negotiation strategies.
  • Prepare and manage compliance matrices after contract awards across business units.
  • Work with all relevant ADI business units to facilitate and prepare assertions for on-going business (changes, added scope, etc.) and claims for out of sequence expenditures (price-reset, NoEs, etc.).
  • Provide counsel to business units regarding contractual remedies.
  • Lead negotiations with customers in coordination with BUs to successful closure.
  • Manage visibility and reporting to leadership for performance metrics as related to LTP and business capture.
  • Consolidate, analyze, and present overall sales in NA (and by division) using appropriate data systems.
  • Prepare budget, Forecast, LTP for the office to accomplish its tasks in NA. Alignments with the Activity Controllers and the Division Controllers.
  • Work with BD team to during proposal preparation process to achieve ultimate results (tight work with BUs) from RFX to submittal.
  • Provide financial support in the initial phases to assess viability of opportunities.
  • Review pricing, price assumptions and adherence to ADI rules and pricing guidelines.
  • Become a trusted advisor to the Sales Team Members and Leadership.
  • Create standard proposal templates for the various RFX’s to best suit customers’ requirements to improve win probability. Assimilate such templates across ADI’s BUs.
  • Participate in M&A activities in NA in coordination with Hutchinson' strategy team.
