About The Position

The Director, Commercial Promotion Strategy & Analytics is a leadership role governing, evaluating, and optimizing promotional investments across Samsung’s carrier partner accounts, including T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T. The position serves as the strategic product-management authority for commercial promotional programs, connecting financial analytics with carrier account sales and go-to-market execution. It uses detailed analysis of invoice data, carrier subsidy splits, sell-out lift, and complex promotion structures to establish actionable guidelines. The role aims to ensure promotional investments drive incremental sell-out volume, protect brand equity, and align with retail enablement and marketing KPIs. The director sets promotional guidelines, investment thresholds, and return-on-investment guardrails; evaluates carrier proposals with account sales leads; and establishes frameworks for promotional timing and funding decisions. The role analyzes invoice claims, carrier billings, sales velocity, inventory, funding splits, consumer accessibility, and conversion impact, and models scenarios to estimate sell-out and revenue effects. The position leads cross-functional commercial alignment with go-to-market, marketing, retail operations, and field sales teams. It connects promotions to commercial and brand KPIs, develops dashboards and predictive promotional modeling tools, and presents performance reviews and recommendations to senior executives. A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field, at least 12 years of relevant progressive experience, at least three years in senior leadership or director capacity, and extensive mobile or telecommunications industry experience are required. An MBA or master’s degree is preferred.
