We are seeking a forward-thinking leader who will help further exemplify CBI Health’s values, support initiatives and deliver on outcomes nationally. Reporting to the National Director, Clinical Services – Community Rehabilitation, the DCS works as a strategic partner to drive operational performance and execution while building a talent rich team. As an important member of the leadership team, you work collaboratively with the regional management and vocational rehabilitation specialists team members. The DCS will oversee program services with focus on supporting growth strategy. This role implements systems and structures that effectively reduce program services variability.

Requirements

  • A university degree in a relevant field (a combination of education and experience will be considered)
  • Deep knowledge of vocational rehabilitation service programs
  • At least 7 years of management experience working with large teams is preferred
  • Documented experience that indicates a broad and deep command of the issues involved in growing and developing vocational rehabilitation service programs as well as program management
  • Be an innovative thinker, self-motivated, quality-driven and comfortable challenging the status quo
  • Ability to interact well with varied stakeholders-internal and external
  • Demonstrated strong leadership through progressive roles as well as the ability to realize ROI
  • A strong goal and results orientation and customer focus together with excellent decision-making and follow-through abilities
  • Advanced interpersonal relations and communications (written and verbal) skills

Responsibilities

  • Create an environment that aligns with CBI’s purpose, drawing and retaining high-performing talent that naturally live organizational values
  • Ensure overall vocational rehabilitation services program consistency and compliance with relevant legislation, requirements of regulatory bodies, stakeholder agreements, and service program models
  • Optimize key performance metrics and facilitate role optimization to ensure consistent application across all business segments
  • Coach and mentor leaders and future leaders on the team, support their growth and development, manage and facilitate performance, actively map succession plans, and ensure career paths are tangible and attainable for high performers
  • Identify systems and structures that effectively reduce variability and ensure resources are aligned with the organizational structure to meet business demands
  • Improve efficiencies for increasing volume of service, and assist in identifying gaps that create new service opportunities
  • Maintain a solid understanding of stakeholder priorities, strategic direction, and gaps in service to ensure operations is well positioned to create and execute on innovative solutions to stakeholder challenges
  • Work closely with other CBI Health business streams to assist/support leveraging opportunities to integrate service programs
  • Liaise proactively with other business partners in Operations, Human Resources, sharing best practices and participating in provincial or national collaborative initiatives
  • Ensure all individual needs and contractual obligations are met or exceeded while maintaining alignment with the budget and business needs
  • Ensure monthly financial and key performance indicator (KPI) reports and results are analyzed and actioned
  • Effectively monitor and mitigate risk, utilizing key performance indicators to identify systems or structure gaps and/or opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency
