About The Position

The Director of Clinical Practice provides leadership for the Center for Advanced Practice (CAP). Responsible for programmatic development and execution of such programs that impact Advanced Practice Providers (APP) across the organization. Responsible for data management as it relates to APPs across the organization with a focus on the development of care models that integrate APPs, increase access and optimize how care is delivered by APPs, including quality. Advises and makes recommendations to the CAP leadership. Participates in leadership development of other APPs and APP engagement, recruitment, and retention across the organization. Accountable for all quality measures including monitoring data and managing outcomes relating to the Surgical Service Line as well as for the development and execution of quality and safety initiatives across the Surgical Service Line in both the hospital and ambulatory settings. Both directly and in collaboration with other service line leadership will ensure Surgical Services provide seamless, efficient and cost effective delivery of the highest quality of care across the care continuum. Responsible for clinical operations in the ambulatory setting including direct supervision of preadmission testing and oversight of the Voorhees Surgi Center and all additional surgical procedural areas Oversees compliance of clinical standards set forth by all regulatory bodies including TJC and CMS in the ambulatory setting Drives the implementation and assumes accountability for ensuring a Culture of Service across Surgical Services resulting in improved patient experience, market share growth and enhanced employee engagement. Responsible for the oversight of all non-provider clinical personnel in the ambulatory setting Directly responsible for all RN s in the ambulatory setting Responsible for competency and professional development of all ambulatory clinical staff

Requirements

  • 5 years management experience
  • 5 years clinical experience in the acute care setting or outpatient setting
  • Masters Degree
  • NJ RN License
  • Working knowledge and understanding of information systems, quality reporting and databases used to measure outcomes.
  • Ability to formulate and operationalize process improvements based on sound data to drive positive outcomes
  • Superior problem solving skills with a high level of personal accountability
  • Working knowledge of TJC requirements, Surgical Care Improvement Project, surgical, trauma and anesthesia quality databases, Core Measures and all public reporting.
  • Advanced interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to foster consensus and engagement of various individuals or groups.
  • Understanding of budgetary development and management
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing both at the individual and group level
