ImmunaiNew York, NY

About The Position

Immunai is an AI-driven platform company focused on improving drug discovery and development by decoding the human immune system. We combine large-scale single cell immune data, advanced machine learning, and strong engineering to help pharmaceutical and research partners make better, more informed decisions throughout the drug development process. Our long-term goal is to reduce drug development failure rates and help more effective medicines reach patients. We’re building this platform thoughtfully and collaboratively, bringing together expertise across biology, AI, engineering, and business. Immunai is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We aim to leverage our platform-driven immune insights to drive a higher probability of clinical trial success for our partners, and we are seeking a Director of Clinical and Translational Applications to join the CTO Office to support this goal. This is a high-visibility individual contributor role that is expected to interface closely across multiple teams. You will apply your deep clinical and translational expertise to bridge our cutting edge technical capabilities with our partners’ clinical challenges, ensuring that our platform solutions effectively solve the most high-stakes challenges in the pharmaceutical industry.

Requirements

  • You are an MD or MD/PhD with 8-12 years of experience in clinical trial design and translational medicine in the IO or I&I space, preferably within a Biotech or Pharma setting, or as an academic clinician-scientist who has served as a PI for multiple industry-sponsored trials
  • You have first-hand experience using complex, high dimensional data to drive clinical development decisions about how a drug progresses through clinical trials. You have seen how trials succeed and fail from the inside and understand the internal pressures (Go/No-Go milestones) and external forces (FDA requirements) that drive drug development.
  • You have a strong track record of delivering presentations and publications that turn complex translational insights to clear, persuasive narratives for clinical audiences
  • You have an agile AI-transformation mindset; you may not be a coder but are excited to adapt and apply AI-enabled analytical workflows to independently explore multi-omic datasets, extract clinically-relevant insights, and build compelling case studies to showcase your findings.

Nice To Haves

  • You want to make an impact on humankind
  • You prioritize “We” over “I”
  • You enjoy getting things done and striving for excellence
  • You collaborate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • You have a growth mindset
  • You are candid, authentic, and transparent

Responsibilities

  • Serve as our principal “Clinical Solutions Architect”, leading the scientific study design for new partner engagements. You will translate a partner’s internal clinical development hurdles into structured research proposals utilizing Immunai’s core platform capabilities and products.
  • Support the execution of our active clinical collaborations by interfacing between our internal technical collaborations teams and our partner’s clinical teams, ensuring that our external deliverables are optimally aligned with the key clinical challenges and internal decision-making processes of our partners.
  • Provide clinical education and expert guidance to our internal R&D and Product teams to ensure that our internal platform development efforts optimally build towards supporting clinically actionable outcomes
  • Take a hands-on role in building and presenting compelling, external-facing case studies, publications, white papers, and conference abstracts (e.g., ASCO, SITC), that effectively showcase the application of our platform to address high impact clinical use cases.

Benefits

  • This position offers a base salary typically between $215,000 and $255,000. There is an opportunity to consider higher compensation above this range based on business need, candidate experience, and or skills.
