About The Position

Ogilvy Health Market Access brings together market access strategy, analytics, technology, and creative capabilities to help pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare clients navigate the complexities of reimbursement and patient access. We transform complex access information into actionable solutions that support clients and field organizations throughout the product lifecycle. We are seeking an experienced Market Access Analytics leader to drive the data strategy, development, and delivery of our proprietary market access solutions and custom analytics offerings. This individual will work closely with clients and internal teams to translate complex pharmaceutical market access data into accurate, actionable solutions for clients and field teams. The Director will manage and develop members of the analytics team while remaining hands-on with complex data challenges, solution design, validation, and client deliverables.

Requirements

8+ years of analytics experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences, market access, managed markets, or a closely related data environment.
Ideally, understanding of pharmaceutical market access and reimbursement, including commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid channels, payer and plan structures, formulary coverage, and utilization management.
Significant experience with pharmaceutical data, including formulary/coverage, prescription or medical claims, HCP, payer/plan, and lives data.
5+ years hands-on MySQL skills, with demonstrated ability to query, join, transform, aggregate, troubleshoot, and validate large datasets.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and demonstrated ability to analyze, validate, and present complex data.
Experience harnessing AI to streamline data processes.
Experience designing analytical methodologies and translating business needs into detailed data and product requirements.
Strong understanding of data quality, integration, attribution, aggregation, and validation methodologies and experience using a revision control system in a production environment (i.e. SVN, Git, Perforce).
Exceptional client communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex analytical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage multiple complex workstreams.
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions to complex data challenges.
Bachelor's degree required; STEM degree, advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

Experience with pharmaceutical market access data sources such as IQVIA, MMIT, Symphony Health, or similar platforms.
Experience developing HCP- or account-level market access analytics and field-facing solutions.
Familiarity with Veeva or other pharmaceutical CRM/field enablement platforms.
Experience with payer hierarchies, PBM relationships, geographic attribution, HCP alignment, product launches, or major data migrations.

Responsibilities

Lead the timely implementation of data solutions supporting proprietary market access products, field-facing tools, and custom client analytics.
Integrate and analyze pharmaceutical data sources, including formulary and coverage data, prescription and medical claims, HCP data, payer and plan hierarchies, lives, geographic alignment, and CRM data.
Translate complex business questions into analytical methodologies, business rules, data requirements, and scalable solutions.
Use MySQL, advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI and other analytic tools to manipulate, integrate, analyze, and validate large datasets and troubleshoot complex data issues.
Apply deep knowledge of pharmaceutical reimbursement, including payer channels, formulary coverage, utilization management, payer/PBM relationships, plan structures, and patient access dynamics.
Develop methodologies that translate market access data into actionable HCP-, account-, payer-, geographic-, and national-level insights and field-facing messages.
Own quality control and validation of analytical methodologies and client deliverables, including investigation and reconciliation of discrepancies across data sources and systems.
Serve as the analytics and market access subject matter expert throughout the product development lifecycle, including requirements, development, testing and validation, launch, data migrations, recurring refreshes, and enhancements.
Partner with development, UX, account, strategy, production, and external data-provider teams to ensure solutions are accurate, scalable, actionable, and delivered on time.
Serve as a senior analytics subject matter expert in client meetings and pre- and post-sale discussions, clearly communicating complex methodologies, findings, limitations, and recommendations.
Establish efficient, repeatable processes and high standards for analytical rigor and quality.
Remain hands-on as needed to investigate data, troubleshoot MySQL queries, perform Excel-based analyses, validate methodologies, and resolve complex data challenges.
