Director, Central Sterile Processing for Barnes Jewish Hospital This leader will oversee multiple locaitons to include North and South Campuses and the CSPD on the main academic campus. They will also have oversight of the Orthopedic Center, CAM-South County, and new facility opening at Sunset Hills. This Director will have 9 direct reports and 147 additional FTE's reporting up. This is a team that is currently growing and they are potentially adding an additional 20 FTE's in the near future. The ideal leader should have at least 5-7 years working with CSPD with another 3+ years in a leadership role. Role Purpose The Director will oversee, guide and audit the clinical practice, operations and compliance related to the cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of instrumentation. They will establish departmental quality goals and objectives and develop and implement standardized departmental policies and procedures. Must demonstrate extensive and complete knowledge of Hospital as well as outside regulatory agency requirements such as infection prevention guidelines, AORN standards, JCAHO, AAMI and IAHCSMM and effectively apply this knowledge to manage systems and processes to ensure the highest level of patient care and personnel development. Will actively collaborate with Hospital infection prevention and regulatory departments as well as multidisciplinary teams to improve institution’s cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization processes.
