Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Current Nevada RN license
• Valid BLS/ACLS certifications
• At least 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience
• A minimum of 5 years managing patient care services within a complex surgical or cardiovascular environment
• Strategic thinker with a proven track record of physician alignment, operational excellence, and the ability to drive business development while maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct and patient safety.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of successful and progressive experience in a healthcare system or hospital, providing or directing patient care activities within surgical and/or cardiovascular services
• Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience managing a variety of patient care services in a complex surgical/cardiovascular/healthcare environment
• Experience in directing other clinical areas, working closely with physicians, developing clinical strategies, implementing operational efforts, and measuring outcomes
• Registered Nurse: NV (RN:NV)
• Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

• Master of Nursing (MSN)
• For candidates with exceptional experience: Master's degree in nursing or related healthcare discipline combined with additional job-related experience in lieu of degree
• Medical Degree holders: M.D. or D.O with board certification in surgery or anesthesiology
• Doctor of Medicine: NV (MD:NV)
• Doctor Osteopathic Medicine: NV (DO:NV)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily administrative, operational, and clinical functions of cardiovascular and perioperative services, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Monitor quality metrics, optimize staffing and resource utilization through effective budget management, and implement evidence-based clinical practices.
• Collaborate closely with market operational leaders and sister facilities to share best practices, streamline workflows, and ensure the successful delivery of safe, consistent, and efficient care across the organization.
• Provides strategic and operational leadership for Cardiovascular and Perioperative Services within the assigned facility.
• Partners closely with the Market Vice President of Strategy, Growth & Operations, Strategy & Business Development, Sales, physicians, and market operational leaders to develop and execute strategic initiatives that strengthen Cardiovascular and Perioperative Services.
• Ensures departmental competency and compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards governing Cardiovascular and Perioperative Services.
• Develops, manages, and justifies annual operating and capital budgets for Cardiovascular and Perioperative Services.
• Leads initiatives that promote standardized clinical practices, operational workflows, and evidence-based care throughout Cardiovascular and Perioperative Services.
